Audition Notice
Myriad Dance seeks 6 contemporary dancers to perform in John Corigliano’s
‘The Ghosts of Versailles’
as part of the 58th Wexford Festival Opera 2009.
This European premiere of the new performing version of John Corigliano’s
‘The Ghosts of Versailles’ melds together the worlds of Marie
Antoinette,
the French Revolution and the theatrical world of Beaumarchais' Figaro,
in an award-winning opera by the Oscar and Grammy winning composer.
Directed by US Stage & Opera Director James Robinson,
with choreography by renowned artist Sean Curran.
Performance Requirements: Dancers must have contemporary
dance training and preferably have musical dance theatre abilities.
This is a 6-week contract, starting Sunday, 20th September 2009
and dancers must be available for the entire duration of the rehearsal
and performance period.
Audition Date: Saturday, 8th August 2009
Venue: O’Reilly Theatre, High St, Wexford Opera House
